<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing fluid cartridge or a recording apparatus that includes a structure which is configured at least either to prevent printing fluid from dripping when a printing fluid cartridge is extracted from a cartridge mounting part or to achieve the reduction of a device size. <P>SOLUTION: An ink cartridge 30 is mounted to a cartridge mounting part 110 having an engaging member 145 engaged with the ink cartridge 30 against an external force acting in an extraction direction 55. The ink cartridge 30 includes a turning member 60 that can release the engagement with the engaging member 145 and extends toward a front wall 40 of a casing 31 storing ink therein.
