<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly versatile hook switch structure for telephone use. <P>SOLUTION: The hook switch structure according to the present invention is a hook switch structure that is turned On and Off according to off-hook and on-hook of a telephone handset. The hook switch structure includes: a hook switch body whose one end is fixed to the inside of a telephone housing; a free end rotatably extending from the other end of the hook switch body; a contact member provided in the vicinity of the free end inside the telephone housing; and a hook button extending from the outside surface of the telephone housing to the hook switch body. When the handset is in an on-hook state, force from the handset presses the hook switch body via the hook button to make the hook switch free end contact the contact member.
