<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide toner for electrostatic charge image development which hardly causes reduction in image density or an image failure such as fogging even under a high temperature and high humidity environment or a low temperature and low humidity environment and is excellent in preservation stability. <P>SOLUTION: In toner for electrostatic charge image development containing a polyester resin as a binder resin, the polyester resin is prepared by polycondensation of an alcohol component selected from divalent or higher valent alcohols and a carboxylic acid component selected from divalent or higher valent carboxylic acids, and the polyester resin, which is prepared using an alcohol component including an alkane diol having 3 to 5 carbon atoms and containing a primary hydroxyl group and a secondary hydroxyl group, and an α,ω-linear alkane diol having 4 to 8 carbon atoms, is used as a binder resin. The acid value of toner is adjusted to 5 to 20 mgKOH/g and the water absorption amount per 1 g of toner is adjusted 4 to 6 mg. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
