<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing layered silicate particles with which a polymer with excellent properties is obtained with high activity, and to provide a method for producing an olefin polymerization catalyst using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the layered silicate particles is characterized in that in treating a layered silicate with acids, treatment is conducted by keeping maximum elimination speed of a cation to be eliminated with an acid at 0.0005 min<SP POS="POST">-1</SP>or less, and further in that the layered silicate has a 2:1 type structure, etc. The method for producing an olefin polymerization catalyst using the layered silicate particles, etc. are also disclosed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
