<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plug-in connection device for preventing an effect of an accident in a very simple configuration, which does not affect other electric lines even if a ground fault occurs, without changing electric installation in the conventional electric line, and a method of using the same. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a plug-in connection device for preventing an effect of an accident, in which an insulating transformer 4 is provided in a line 3 between a plug 1 which is plugged in to an existing power receptacle and a power strip 2 to which a plug of a power cord of an electric device is plugged in. A ground wire 5 is derived from the power strip 2. An impedance element 7 is provided in each connection line 6 connecting the ground wire 5 and each of the lines 3 between the insulating transformer 4 and the power strip 2.
