<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer that can inform a user of the next printing schedule for the print data when a next printing scheduled date for print data to be printed on a printed matter that is a label used regularly approaches. <P>SOLUTION: Input data that means the print data or the like, printing date information that means the last date when the print data is printed on a tape that is the label, and notice date information (next printing date candidate) that means the next printing scheduled date for the print data, are related to each other and stored in one related file of an EEPROM. When current printing date (present date) measured by a timer passes by the date shown by the notice date information (next printing date candidate) in the related file having the print data (S24: YES), a message, for example, "Printing time for a memory No.3 is coming.
