<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin film transistor array and a display device which eliminate the need for increasing an aperture ratio, are suitable for printing, and enable area coverage modulation without using a plurality of pixels; and a method of manufacturing them. <P>SOLUTION: In a thin film transistor, when the width of effective region of a pixel is A and the width of negative pattern of effective region of a pixel is B, the width B is larger than the width A.
