PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for forming a coil which can be easily manufactured and can be prevented from increasing in specific resistance, and to provide a coil.

SOLUTION: The method for forming a coil includes: respective pattern forming steps (step S2 and S3) in which a copper paste having copper nanofillers mixed with an organic solvent (terpineol and ethanol) is applied onto an insulating substrate having insulating properties to form respective coil patterns; and a sintering step (step S4) in which the organic solvent contained in the respective coil patterns is removed and the copper nanofillers are sintered (metal-joined) together into a metal sintered compact, by heating.
