<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device having such a configuration that the warm-up start temperature of an endless belt can be always maintained to a predetermined temperature, even when the temperature of a resistance heating element has a variation, in a nod to the problem of a fixing device adopting such a configuration that the endless belt is wound on a roller used as a heat conductor or a heat generation source. <P>SOLUTION: The fixing device includes a flexible endless fixing member 121 traveling in a predetermined direction, to heat and melt a toner image, a contact member 122 individually provided on the inner circumferential surface side of the fixing member 121 and coming into contact with a pressure member 131 through the fixing member 121, to form a nip part, a support member 125 supporting a pressing force by the pressure member 131 on the non-contact surface side of the contact member 122, to prevent the deformation of the contact member 122, and a heating element 123 in a position except the nip part on the inner circumferential surface side of the fixing member 121. The fixing member 121 has contact with a gap of a predetermined distance or less or a predetermined pressure or more between the fixing member 121 and the heating element 123, when the fixing member 121 is rotated and is maintained with a gap of a predetermined distance or more between the fixing member 121 and the heating element 123, when the fixing member 121 is not rotated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
