<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a balanced mixer that has a small circuit size and has a satisfactory pulse signal pass characteristic. <P>SOLUTION: The balanced mixer has a hybrid circuit and two diodes. The hybrid circuit has an annular line 101 including a high frequency signal input terminal 111 for inputting a high frequency signal, a local oscillation signal input terminal 112 for inputting a local oscillation signal, and two diode connection terminals 102, 103 connected with an anode of one of the two diodes 15, 16 and a cathode of the other diode, respectively. A DC return circuit 130 is formed in a hollow region of the annular line.
