<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the leak detection of an individual fuel tank in an early stage after the stop of an internal combustion engine without installing a decompression pump at each fuel tank with respect to a plurality of the fuel tanks which communicate with each other via a fuel communication passage, and without discharging fuel vapor. <P>SOLUTION: Fuel is moved between the fuel tanks by sealing an evaporated fuel passage (S106), blocking a gap between the fuel tanks (S108), switching a changeover valve (S110), and driving the fuel pump (S112). Then, the leak detection is performed on the basis of change amounts of internal pressure Pf1, Pf2 of each fuel tank (S116, S118). By this, each leak state can be detected without installing the decompression pumps at the two fuel tanks, respectively. The two fuel tanks are sealed and the fuel vapor is not discharged to the outside by the detection itself. Furthermore, the internal pressure Pf1, Pf2 is actively changed by the fuel pump, a leak can be detected in an early stage after the stop of the internal combustion engine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
