<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve element structure of an on-off valve for a vacuum sewerage system capable of achieving excellent sealing performance and reliably shutting off vacuum pressure. <P>SOLUTION: In a vacuum sewerage system which transports sewage water in a vacuum sewer pipe line 16 by vacuum pressure generated by a vacuum pump of a vacuum station 7, a valve element 27 of an on-off valve 23 is made of BMC resin. A seal coating section 34 is provided around the valve element 27 by coating the same with a rubber sealing member which seals the vacuum sewer pipe line 16 by being pressed against an inner surface thereof. The valve element 27 is moved along the axial direction by screwing a male screw portion 14b of an axial member 14 into a female screw member 32 provided in the valve element 27.
