<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheet detecting apparatus, an image forming apparatus and a document reading apparatus, in which the number of signal lines can be reduced. <P>SOLUTION: A "high impedance" state is output while a paper sheet 3 passes a before-resist-roller sensor 21 (located upstream a resist roller with respect to a paper sheet conveying direction), and a "Low" state is output while the paper sheet 3 does not pass the before-resist-roller sensor 21. Further, the "Low" state is output while the paper sheet 3 passes an after-resist-roller sensor 22 (located downstream the resist roller with respect to the paper sheet conveying direction), and the "high impedance" state is output while the paper sheet 3 passes the after-resist-roller sensor 22. The output of each of the before-resist-roller sensor 21 and the after-resist-roller sensor 22 is detected by a control portion 54 via one signal line TL1, and operation of a conveying mechanism is controlled. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
