<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect a face of a subject when a person is imaged and to easily perform processing which a user requests based on a feature of the face of the subject. <P>SOLUTION: An electronic camera includes: an imaging element imaging a subject image; a memory; a face detection section; a face recognition section; a speaker outputting sound to outside; and a control section. The memory records a corresponding relation between registered data showing the feature amount of the face being a recognition object and characteristic data on a birthplace or use language of the person of the recognition object. The face detection section detects a face region in an imaged picture based on output of the imaging element and extracts the feature amount of the face of the subject from the face region. The face recognition section determines whether the face region is the recognition object or not based on data on the feature amount corresponding to the face region and on registered data. The control section outputs a voice determined in accordance with the characteristic data from a speaker during imaging based on a recognition result of the face recognition section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
