<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device that comprises polarizers attached to a glass cell for liquid crystal display through the intermediary of an adhesive layer and that achieves excellent display by fully preventing a white streak. <P>SOLUTION: A liquid crystal display device according to the invention is formed by attaching polarizers on both surfaces of a glass cell for liquid crystal display through the intermediary of adhesive layers, in such a manner that absorption axes of the polarizers are mutually orthogonal. Each of the polarizers includes a polarizing film which is formed by applying adsorption orientation of dichroic dyes to a polyvinyl alcohol resin. At least one of the adhesive layers is formed with an adhesive composition that contains: (A) 100 pts.wt. of (meta) acrylic ester resin; (B) 0.01 to 5 pts.wt. of cross-linking agent; and (c) 0.03 to 1 pt.wt. of silane compound. With respect to the adhesive layers, a gel fraction is 10 to 65 wt.%, a storage elastic modulus is 0.1 to 0.6 MPa at a temperature of 23°C and a visual size is 110 mm×180 mm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
