<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition for an oxygen-detecting agent, having a rapid discoloration rate, and to provide the oxygen-detecting agent using the ink composition for detecting oxygen. <P>SOLUTION: The ink composition for the oxygen-detecting agent is obtained by mixing a synthetic silica carrying an oxygen-detecting aqueous solution containing a reducing saccharide, an alkali metal compound and a redox pigment reduced by the reducing saccharide, with an aqueous resin solution.
