<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suppressing deterioration in image quality in a cleaner-less format. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus, which comprises a charging control section 120 for applying a charge bias whose polarity is the same as a polarity of charged toner to a scorotron type charger 29 and a transfer control section 110 for applying a transfer bias whose polarity is opposite to the polarity of the charged toner to a transfer roller 30, collects toner remaining on a photosensitive drum 27 without being transferred onto a sheet of paper by a developing roller 31 and reuses the toner. The transfer control section 110 is arranged to be capable of controlling an absolute value of the transfer bias between a first value and a second value that is smaller than the first value. The charging control section 120 sets an absolute value of the charge bias to a third value when the absolute value of the transfer bias is set to the first value by the transfer control section 110, and sets the absolute value of the charge bias to a fourth value that is smaller than the third value when the absolute value of the transfer bias is set to the second value by the transfer control section 110. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
