INTEGRATED METER READING INFORMATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly reliable and practical integrated meter reading information system for various kinds of measurement instruments by using a commercially available portable terminal without needing an expensive dedicated terminal.

SOLUTION: An integrated meter reading information system comprises: a portable terminal 2 which includes an imaging unit 29 for imaging an image 8 of a measurement instrument 6 provided with a unique ID 65, a transmission unit 25 and a first processing unit; a receiving unit 55 capable of receiving data from the portable terminal via a network; and an information processing device 5 which includes a storage unit and a second processing unit. The first processing unit acquires from the image first data indicating the unique ID 65 and second data indicating a meter value 64 of the measurement instrument and transmits the first and the second data by using the transmission unit. The second processing unit stores the first and the second data received by using the receiving unit in association with each other.
