<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power steering device having a rack end support structure for preventing rattle between a ball joint and a housing without enlarging parts around a rack shaft. <P>SOLUTION: The electric power steering device comprises: a steering mechanism comprising a rack shaft 14 and a pinion shaft; a ball joint 14c provided in both ends of the rack shaft 14; a rack housing 15 holding the rack shaft 14 and the pinion shaft ; a stopper provided between the rack housing 15 and the ball joint 14c; and a rack bush 21 supporting the rack shaft 14 to slide. A shock absorbing member, having the stopper and the rack bush 21 integrally formed, is provided above the rack shaft 14 and between the rack housing 15 and the ball joint 14c. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
