PURPOSE: A virtualization apparatus for controlling a virtual machine by connecting to a device and a method thereof are provided to control a virtual machine by using an apparatus separated from the device, thereby increasing command conversion speed between the device and the virtual machine. CONSTITUTION: When a command for virtual machine control is inputted, a virtualization requesting unit(104) transmits the inputted command to a separated virtual device(120). When the command is received from the virtual device, a controlling unit(102) performs an operation corresponding to the received command. The separated virtual device connects to the device through at least one connection among a socket connection and a cable connection.
