<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle component selection system and an automobile repair estimation system for changing the color of an image according to selection, and for smoothly plotting the image. <P>SOLUTION: This vehicle component selection system for selecting components whose exchange or repair is required on a picture when repairing a damaged vehicle includes an output means comprising a display means, a storage means for storing vehicle component information including component illustration data for each component, a processor for extracting the component illustration data stored in the storage means, and for displaying the component illustration data as component illustration at a display means and an input means for directly or indirectly specifying the component illustration displayed at the display means. The component illustration data are stored in the storage means in a vector data format.
