The package (1) has a holding unit formed in a bottom (2a) of a flared solid container (2) for supportively holding a liner (3). The liner receives a fresh paste cheese and allows draining of the cheese in an empty space (4) formed between the liner and the bottom. Pins (6) are arranged on an inner wall of the solid container at a determined distance from the bottom for snapping the liner into the solid container. The liner comprises holes and peripheral recesses for allowing draining of the cheese.
