<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which has a spacer of high accuracy for holding a cell gap uniform at a low cost. <P>SOLUTION: On a support, the color filter has a light shielding part, a colored pixel part of two or more colors having different spectral characteristics and a spacer constituted by laminating colored layers of two or more colors having different spectral characteristics on the light shielding part. The spacer satisfies all conditions:(a) a cross-sectional shape along a height direction is about a trapezoid, (b) height from the light shielding part is 2.0 to 4.0 μm, (c) a bottom area is 50 to 200 μm<SP>2</SP>and (d) a cross-sectional area when vertically cut at 2/3 height is 25 to 130 μm<SP>2</SP>. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
