PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for manufacturing a triangular support frame are provided to reduce the breakage of the edges of a polygonal pipe by forming a curved protrusion at the edges of a triangular support frame. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for manufacturing a triangular support frame comprises an embossed portion forming unit(20), first and second bending units(30,40), a welding unit(50), and a power transmission unit(60). The embossed portion forming unit includes pairs of embossing rollers arranged in multiple stages. A flat plate(80) is pressed and transferred between the embossing rollers so that embossed portions are protruded in the transverse direction. The first bending unit includes a pair of first bending rollers with triangular projections and triangular grooves and presses the flat plate between the first bending rollers in order to bend the flat plate into a V shape. The second bending unit presses the V-shaped plate between second bending rollers(41) in order to bend the plate into a triangular shape. The welding unit welds both facing ends of the triangular bent plate together. The power transmission unit provides the embossing rollers and the first bending rollers with torque through a motor(61) and a chain(62) in order to press and transfer the plate. |
