The cylindrical pressure vessel (10) has an inner body and an outer body (13) enclosing the inner body (14). An end cap (12) is connected with the outer body and adjoins at the inner side of the inner body with an overlapping section (16) that is reaching into the inner body. A sealing (18) adjoining against an inner peripheral surface of the inner body, is arranged in the overlapping section of the end cap and a recess is arranged in the inner peripheral surface of the inner body on the side of the sealing averted from the inner room (25) of the cylindrical pressure vessel.
