<p>The method involves supplying a fluid state refrigerant e.g. liquid nitrogen, to a vertically arranged heat exchanger (6) i.e. tube heat exchanger, and vaporizing the refrigerant in the heat exchanger. A fluid medium is fed with the condensed refrigerant through the heat exchanger by direct current. Temperature of the fluid medium is controlled by varying pressure of the condensed refrigerant in the heat exchanger, to a value among vacuum pressure and 1-10 bars. Heat transfer to the refrigerant is controlled by varying a filling level of the condensed refrigerant in the heat exchanger. An independent claim is also included for a device for controlling temperature of a fluid medium.</p> |
