<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an internal combustion engine capable of suppressing both the occurrence of a state that only an exhaust valve stops and the generation of the inflow of excessive oxygen into an exhaust system. <P>SOLUTION: After a control for stopping an intake valve 22 is started based on the output of a lift sensor 40, it is detected whether the intake valve 22 is actually stopped or not. When the stop of the intake valve 22 is detected, a valve train 25 is subsequently controlled to stop the exhaust valve 24. When the stop of the intake valve 22 is not detected, namely, the intake valve 22 is still driven, a fuel cut is suspended and fuel injection is performed by a port injection valve 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
