The invention relates to a method for producing a bearing carrier (1) for a bearing (2), wherein the bearing carrier (1) comprises a metal sheet, into which a circular recess (3) is made for accommodating the outer ring (4) of the bearing (2), and wherein the recess has a base radius (r0). In order to provide a reproducible precisely working connection possibility between the bearing carrier and the bearing, the method provides the following steps: a) before the production of the recess (3): stamping a depression (5) on at least one circumferential point of the recess (3), wherein the depression (5) has a first region (6) which lies lower axially and a second region (7) which lies higher axially; b) production of the recess (3); c) reforming of the second region (7) which lies higher axially and has remained on the bearing carrier (1), by application of an axially acting reforming force, with the result that a radially inwardly extending projection (10) is formed. Furthermore, the invention relates to a bearing arrangement comprising a bearing carrier of this type and at least one bearing. |
