The profile (1) has a base profile (2) fastened to door- or window frames (10) including a mounting leg (19) and a base part (30). An elastic deformable sealing lip (34) is arranged between the mounting leg and front and/or side surfaces (35, 36) of an insulating layer (11), where the front and/or side surfaces faces toward the profile. The sealing lip closes gap between the profile and insulating layer, and is integrated in the front and/or side surfaces. The base profile includes a holding bar (5) with a holding edge (16) that is projected in direction of the frames.
