PURPOSE: A portable terminal and operation method are provided to enable a user to input or watch additional information related to objects related to a video screen using audio-visual communication. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(110) connects an opponent terminal with audio-visual communication. A display unit(151) displays a video screen related to the audio-visual communication. When one object is selected from the video screen, a control unit(180) displays a selection menu for selecting the input function of additional information related to the selected object on the display unit. The control unit stores the inputted additional information by connecting the selected object to a video frame.
