PURPOSE: A composition for hair growth promotion or depilation prevention which contains Portulacaceae extracts is provided to increase the expression of genes related to hair growth and to promote proliferation of dermal papilla cells and fibroblasts. CONSTITUTION: A composition for hair growth promotion or depilation prevention contains Portulacaceae extract as an active ingredient. The Portulacaceae extract is extracted by using a solvent of water, ethanol, methanol, propanol, butanol, glycerine, butylene glycol or propylene glycol. The Portulacaceae extract has hair growth promotion and depilation prevention effects by increasing the expression of insulin-like growth factor, and hepatocyte growth factor, keratinocyte growth factor and vascular endothelial growth factor. 0.001-10 wt% of the Portulacaceae extract is contained based on the total weight of the composition. The composition is cosmetic composition. The cosmetic composition has the formulations of cream, lotion, skin, cleansing, collyrium, soap, treatment or beauty liquid. The composition is a pharmaceutical composition for dermal external use. |
