Method for producing a binding agent containing belite

Producing a belite containing binder comprises: (a) providing a starting material comprising calcium (Ca), silicon (Si) or oxygen atoms; (b) mixing the starting material with water and hydrothermally treating the starting material with water at 120-250[deg] C for converting the starting material into an intermediate; and (c) grinding the reaction intermediate at 100-200[deg] C for 5-30 minutes alone or in combination with other silica-containing materials in a mill, where at least a belite containing binder is formed under the reaction and dewatering process. Producing a belite containing binder comprises: (a) providing a starting material comprising calcium (Ca) , silicon (Si) or oxygen atoms, where up to 50% of the silicon atoms are replaced by aluminum (Al) atoms at a molar ratio (Ca/(Si+Al)) of 1.5:1-2.5:1, which is determined by hydrothermal treatment of a solution containing lime, calcium sulfite and calcium sulfate; (b) mixing the starting material with water and hydrothermally treating the starting material with water at 120-250[deg] C for converting the starting material into an intermediate; and (c) grinding the reaction intermediate at 100-200[deg] C for 5-30 minutes alone or in combination with other silica-containing materials in a mill, where at least a belite containing binder is formed under reaction and dewatering process.
