[Class 38(v)] A snap-action switch, which may be retractive or non-retractive, comprises a resilient actuating member and a resilient contact member, one of the members having a yoke disposed around the free end of the other member, the free ends of both members being connected by a coil spring. In Fig. 3, the contact member 15. and actuating member 18 are secured in a stack supporting fixed contact bars 10, 11. The coil spring 25 surrounds a pair of telescoping eyelets 22, 23, located, respectively, by projections 15d, 18d, on member 15 and the yoke of member 18. Stops 30 are provided to limit the movement of member 18, the switch being operated by pressure applied at the free end of member 18. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprise also a modification, Fig. 7 (Cancelled), wherein the member 37 having the yoke, also carries the contacts 37a, 37b, and is operated by movement of the actuating member 36. A single stop 51 is provided, since the downward movement of member 36 is limited by the operating plunger 48. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted. |
