The device has two optical sensors (1b) with respective camera for recording a protected zone (2) as a part of a dangerous area. Signals generated from the sensors are read in a switching unit (1a). A switching signal is generated from the signals in the switching unit, where the work equipment is activated or switched off depending on the switching signal. The camera is formed by a distance-measuring complementary metal oxide semiconductor (CMOS)-sensor or a charge coupled device (CCD)-sensor. |
