Disclosed is a novel structure containing a crystalline porous alminosilicate which is effective as a solid acid catalyst. Also disclosed are a method for producing such a structure and a use thereof. After having a silica structure impregnated with or support an alkali metal and/or a basic nitrogen-containing compound, the surface portion of the silica structure is made to support an aluminum source and the resulting is subjected to crystallization. Consequently, there can be obtained a novel structure wherein a crystalline porous alminosilicate exists in the surface portion, especially in the surface portion from the outermost surface of the structure to the depth of 1-1000 µm and an inorganic carrier exists in the inner portion other than the surface portion.
