PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to reduce defects due to short-circuit between a common electrode and a pixel electrode. CONSTITUTION: A pixel electrode(400) is formed in a pixel area. The pixel electrode is extended from a drain electrode. The pixel electrode is integrated with the drain electrode. A common electrode(500) is formed on a protective layer. The common electrode forms an electric field with the pixel electrode. The protective layer is formed between the common electrode and the pixel electrode. |
