DIENE POLYMER AND PRODUCTION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A diene-based polymer is provided to be highly functionalized, to reduce production cost, to provide a rubber compostion with excellent balance of low fuel efficiency, abrasion resistance and wet grip performance. CONSTITUTION: A diene-based polymer is obtained radical polymerizing a radically polymerizable monomer under the presence of a polar functional group-containing thiol compound. The radical polymerizable monomer is a diene-based monomer and a styrene-based monomer. A manufacturing method of the diene-based polymer comprises a step of emulsifying the radical polymerizable monomer under water by using an emulsifier under the presence of the polar functional group-containing thiol compound, and conducting a radical polymerization by adding a radical initiator into the obtained emulsion.
