PURPOSE: An image processing device and a method thereof are provided to restrict processes of searching images, voices, texts stored in a storage medium, thereby preventing privacy violation. CONSTITUTION: A data processing unit(13) forms encoded images in a file and inserts GPS(Global Positioning System) information in the file. A file system processing unit(15) logically stores the file according to the file system of the storage medium and writes the GPS information in a logical area. The file is divided to a header and a payload. The header includes information about the encoded images. The payload includes the encoded images. The GPS information is inserted into the header or the payload.
