PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a resin composition for an optical film is provided to manufacture a resin composition not generating a curl phenomenon after binding a polarizer because of excellent optical properties and heat durability, and low thermal coefficient. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a resin composition for an optical film comprises: a step of generating a quaternary polymer by reacting an alkyl (meth)acrylate-based monomer, a benzene ring-containing acrylate-based monomer and a (meth)acrylic acid monomer through a continuous bulk polymerization; and a step of generating a resin composition for an optical film by removing non-reacted monomer and solvent from a reaction product. A manufacturing method of an optical film comprises a step of manufacturing a film phase from the resin composition by using a solution cast method or extrusion method.
