<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent delivery system capable of reducing a restenosis rate and a risk of delayed stent thrombosis occurring. <P>SOLUTION: The stent delivery system includes a hollow shaft part 110, first and second freely expandable balloons 150 and 160 arranged on the outer periphery of the distal end 120 of the shaft part 110, and a stent 170 arranged on the outer periphery of the second balloon 160 such that it expands as the second balloon 160 expands. The first balloon 150 has a drug release means 152 for releasing a drug at least to suppress the proliferation of endothelial cells. The stent 170 comprises a bare metal stent and is indwelled at a target position which is a stenosis part or an occlusion part generated in the lumen of a living body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
