<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an illumination device capable of reducing density in laser light which has just been output even if a light conversion member falls off, thereby maintaining a desired level of safety. <P>SOLUTION: An illumination device 1 includes a light source 10 and a wavelength conversion member 30. The illumination device 1 further comprises an angle broadening portion 40 which broadens an output angle of excited light output from an output end surface 10a toward the wavelength conversion member 30 by separating the angle broadening portion 40 from the wavelength conversion member 30 when the wavelength conversion member 30 falls off from an optical axis 11 of the light source 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
