<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress decrease in pickling ability by a metal ion eluted from a stainless steel strip according to descaling action when performing descaling of the stainless steel strip after annealing by electrolytic pickling in a sulfuric acid aqueous solution and to improve descaling ability by the electrolytic pickling in the sulfuric acid aqueous solution. <P>SOLUTION: Fe<SP POS="POST">2+</SP>in a pickling liquid is oxidized into Fe<SP POS="POST">3+</SP>using an oxidizing agent, such as nitric acid, a nitrate, chromic acid, a chromate, and hydrogen peroxide, and Fe<SP POS="POST">2+</SP>concentration in the liquid is controlled to be 5 g/l or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
