<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction member having a friction component and a back plate which are tightly bonded, and a method for manufacturing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The friction member 1 has the friction component 10 including metal and ceramics and bonded to the back plate 20 made of metal, wherein the friction component 10 is sinter-bonded to the back plate 20. In the friction component, the concentration of the metal is gradually increased toward the back plate in the proximity 11 to the end of a back plate side. The method for manufacturing the friction member 1 includes a lamination step to obtain a powder laminate 30 by laminating mixed powder in which metal powder is mixed with ceramic powder at a specified first ratio and a plurality of kinds of mixed powders in which a metal powder-to-ceramic powder ratio differs from the first ratio so that a ratio of the metal powder is gradually changed, and a sintering step in which the powder laminate and the back plate are pressed and sinter-bonded while a layer of the highest metal-powder ratio in the powder laminate is brought into contact with the back plate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
