<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fracture determination method eliminating the necessity of experience or intuition of a skilled worker by eliminating uncertainty of fracture determination which has been a problem of a conventional fracture determination method of predicting the fracture of a workpiece in a press work simulation of the workpiece using a computer. <P>SOLUTION: In the fracture determination method for the workpiece, regarding a condition of the occurrence of fracture assuring sureness of determination or nonnecessity of experience or intuition of a skilled worker, a bifurcation interface indicating a place where local deformation occurs is determined based on a three-dimensional local bifurcation theory, and focusing on deformation, that is, cleavage deformation, including elongation deformation in a direction vertical to the bifurcation interface, fracture is determined on an instability condition of the cleavage deformation in which the cleavage deformation progresses without increasing force necessary for the occurrence of the cleavage deformation. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
