COATING DEVICE, COATING METHOD, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COATED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating device that achieves desired coating thickness distribution of a coating layer to be finally manufactured by suppressing the influence of thickness distribution of a support, and to provide a coating method and a method of manufacturing a coated product.

SOLUTION: The coating device which coats the conveyed belt-like support with a coating liquid includes a coating part which forms the coating layer by applying the coating liquid, and a thickness adjustment part which is disposed upstream from the coating part in the conveyance direction of the support. The thickness adjustment part forms a thickness adjustment layer for adjusting the lateral coating thickness distribution of the support. The thickness adjustment layer has coating thickness distribution formed by substantially inverting desired coating thickness distribution of the coating layer to be finally obtained.
