GAS DETECTOR HAVING DIPOLAR COUNTER/REFERENCE ELECTRODE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrochemical gas detector in which ion impedance is low, products due to electrochemical reaction are unlikely to be adhered to an electrode and a proper amount of electrolyte is used.

SOLUTION: The gas detector includes at least two electrodes. Two electrodes are carried on first and second common substrates having surfaces apart from each other. The electrodes are formed on the respective surfaces and the substrate is sandwiched between both electrodes.
