MOLD DEVICE AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING INSERT MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold device which prevents warpage of an insert molded article obtained by insert-molding a long metal plate with a resin material.

SOLUTION: The mold device includes; a mold 304 having a long cavity 302; a pinching member 318 that holds a long metal plate 130 inserted into the cavity 302 such that the longitudinal direction of the long metal plate is directed to a longitudinal direction of the cavity 302 at a position offset from a center of the cross-section of the cavity 302; and an inlet 312 for pouring a resin material into the cavity 302. The shape of the mold 304 and the pinching member 318 are determined such that the amounts of the resin material to be poured around the each side of the metal plate 130 are equivalent, when the resin material is poured into the cavity 302 from the inlet 312 while the pinching member 318 holds the metal plate 130.
