PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering lock device having excellent theft preventive performance, making it difficult to release a lock of a steering shaft by a fraudulent act while ensuring the strength of a lock element.

SOLUTION: An engaging arm part 97 that is inserted into a lock release position of a connection pin 62 of the lock element positioned in a lock position when a slide plate is slid to an engaging position, is provided at a tip portion 94 of the slide plate 91 biased in the engaging position by a coil spring 92. A retainer wall 97a that blocks the movement of the connection pin to the lock release position by contacting the connection pin is provided in the engaging arm part. A guiding slope 97c that guides the connection pin 62 to the retainer wall according to the slide of the slide plate to the engaging position is provided at the tip of the engaging arm part.
