<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the following problem that only the symptom of an IT failure that affects the performance loads of a processor and the like can be detected in a conventional method. <P>SOLUTION: An IT failure symptom detector sequentially obtains events generated by a monitor server monitoring IT failures and classifies them into a symptomatic event block or an IT failure event block. Then, it retrieves symptomatic event blocks having feature information similar to that of the obtained symptomatic event block, from a past log. Subsequently, it retrieves the IT failure event block that occurs for a fixed period after the occurrence of each of the symptomatic event blocks, from an IT failure event block log. After that, it determines a co-occurrence relation between the symptomatic event block and the IT failure event block, and determines the IT failure event block, in which the co-occurrence relation is recognized, as a predicted IT failure for the obtained symptomatic event block. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
