<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved steering assembly for a ship having a propelling device offset in the vertical direction. <P>SOLUTION: An actuator 30 includes a cylinder 38, a piston rod 40 installed in the cylinder and making a reciprocating motion along a piston rod shaft, a pair of separated cylinder-arms 42 and 44 extending outside in the radial direction of the cylinder, a pivot plate 46 extending between the cylinder-arms, a pair of support arms 52 and 54 connected to both ends of the piston rod and pivotally movable on a tilt shaft so as to enable the circular-arc movement of the piston rod on the tilt shaft while maintaining a piston rod shaft 100 in parallel to a tilt rod shaft 105, and apertures 68 and 70 arranged on the cylinder and penetratingly extending for receiving a connecting member for connecting a tie bar to tie bar-mounts 64 and 66. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
